What are your check-in and check-out times?
Check In begins at 3PM EST. Check out is by 11AM EST.
Do you offer early check-in?
Early check in is based on availability after 11AM EST. Contact the Read House at 423-266-4121 to check availability the day of arrival.
What is your cancellation policy?
Our standard direct booking cancellation policy is 24 hours prior to the check in date, however, please see your selected rate type for details. Some reservations are advance purchase non-refundable.
Do I have to pay a resort fee?
No. We do not charge a resort fee.
Do I have to pay for Wifi Internet?
Not at all. Complimentary gigabit Wi-Fi is offered to all Read House guests.
Do you accept cash?
Cash is accepted at the Read House. Cash paying guests are required to provide a valid credit card for incidentals.
How can I get a receipt of my stay?
We can provide a receipt of your stay via email or by print at the Front Desk.
Are you able to store my luggage?
The Read House is able to tuck luggage away before or after your stay, for up to 24 hours.
Can I have packages delivered to the hotel?
The Read House will accept packages for registered guests and watch over them until you arrive. We’ll whisk them up to your room upon request.
Does the hotel offer parking, and is there a charge?
The Read House offers Valet Parking for a nightly fee of $20 per night.
Does the hotel offer breakfast?
The Read House is home to a full-service Starbucks serving breakfast pastries and sandwiches. Room service breakfast is offered on Saturday and Sunday, though double-check with the front desk in case there has been a deviation in the schedule.
Is there a bar at the hotel?
The Bar and Billiards Room is open daily. Pop in for snacks and cocktails, and be sure to visit the speakeasy-style billiards area behind the bar.
What kind of dining options does the hotel offer?
Guests can delight in three dining options at the Read House: Bridgeman’s Chophouse, Bar and Billiards and Starbucks. All three are open daily.

Do you offer a business center?
The Read House does not have a Business Center.
Does the hotel have meeting space?
Yes indeed! The Read House has more than a dozen sprawling meeting spaces, for events big and small. Contact our sales team for details at 423-266-4121.
Does the hotel offer a fitness center?
Yes, we have a fitness center that’s open daily.
Are accessible rooms available?
Absolutely. We want all our guests to have an enjoyable stay. Please contact us directly at 423-266-4121 to reserve accessible accomodations.
What are the room amenities offered?
Our spacious dwellings are equipped with a mini-refrigerator, flat screen television with cable, hair dryer, iron, ironing board and luxury toiletries. Historic Tower Premiere rooms include an in-room safe.
I’m traveling with an infant. Are cribs available?
The Read House offers pack-and-plays for little ones at no additional fee.
I’m allergic to down pillows. Do you offer other pillow options?
Don’t worry; all Read House bed pillows are down-free.
We need an extra bed for the room. Do you offer rollaway beds?
A rollaway bed can be provided for an additional $15 per night.
Is the Read House pet friendly?
Furry companions are welcome in our Manor Deluxe and Traditional rooms. We ask for a non-refundable pet fee of $100 + taxes per stay.
Is there a pool at the hotel?
The Read House has a delightful heated indoor pool.
Is smoking allowed?
That’s one Jazz-era element we’ve parted ways with. All guest rooms and public spaces are 100% non-smoking.
Is there a spa on property?
Unfortunately, the Read House does not offer Spa services.
Does the hotel offer around town transportation?
The Read House does not offer transportation, however, guests can utilize a free downtown electric shuttle service provided by the Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA). There is a stop right outside the hotel.
