Early Departure Policy
An early departure fee of $50 applies to guests who checkout prior to their scheduled departure date as confirmed at check-in. Please contact the hotel for further information.
The Read House Historic Inn and Suites is proud to be one of the only pet-friendly hotels in downtown Chattanooga.
We only allow dogs up to 50 pounds. There is a $50.00 non-refundable pet fee. The pet floors are restricted to the second and third floors of the hotel. Dogs must be kept on a leash or in a carrier while in public areas and are not permitted in the restaurant, Starbucks or pool area. A guest must be present while any member of the hotel staff, such as housekeeping or engineering, is in the guestroom with the dog. Room cleaning must be scheduled in advance for a time when the dog will not be in the room or the owner is present. Pets cannot be left unattended and must be accompanied by a guest or designated individual at all times. Pet owners must prevent noise that will disturb other guests, and if such a disturbance causes complaints from other occupants or personnel, the guest must make other arrangements to house the dog. Guests are also subject to any additional cleaning or damage fees discovered after departure.
Credit/Debit Card Policy
Debit and credit cards will be authorized at check-in for the amount of your stay, plus an amount to cover incidentals. The authorization will hold the funds until checkout, at which time the amount actually incurred during the stay will be charged. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution, and the hotel will not be responsible for any resulting fees or charges.
All guestrooms and public spaces are 100% non-smoking. A $250 cleaning fee will be charged to any guest who violates the smoking policy.
